Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has voiced his wish to see Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir compete in the final of the 2024 Indian Premier League. KKR became the first team to qualify for the playoffs, tops the points table with 19 points from 13 games. In contrast, Kohli’s RCB secured the last playoff spot by defeating CSK, finishing fourth with 14 points.
As the top four teams have been confirmed for the playoffs, Harbhajan Singh predicted that RCB and KKR are likely to meet in the final of the competition. The former off-spinner also mentioned that Bengaluru has a strong chance of winning the trophy and will be difficult to stop from this point onward.
While talking to his official Youtube Channel, Harbhajan Singh,”I feel that RCB and KKR will play the final. If that happens, Kohli and Gambhir will be back to face each other. RCB can win the trophy from this point, they have fought hard for each run. If they play with this energy then it will be hard to stop this team.”
Kohli and Gambhir have a history of clashes, having had two altercations during previous IPL seasons. The first came during the IPL 2013 and then they both had a verbal spat in IPL 2023 when RCB faced LSG in the league match.
