Harbhajan Singh Picks 15-member Squad For T20 World Cup, No Place For Hardik Pandya

Veteran Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, who was a member of the MS Dhoni-led team that won the T20 World Cup in 2007, has named his squad for the upcoming 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. In his 15-player squad, Harbhajan didn’t pick Hardik Pandya, but included Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube, along with Lucknow Super Giants pace sensation Mayank Yadav.

Star Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal who is playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL, is also the part of the Harbhajan’s Squad.

Chahal has the most wickets for India in T20Is and is the only bowler with 200 wickets in the IPL. However, he hasn’t yet played in the T20 World Cup for India. He was not selected for the T20 World Cup in 2021 and didn’t get to play any matches in the 2022 edition of the tournament.

While disclosing his team at the Star Sports, Harbhajan Singh chose Rohit Sharma as captain, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rinku Singh as batsmen. Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson are the two prime wicket-keepers in his team. The sensational cricketer of Chennai Super Kings Shivam Dube has been selected as the fast-bowling all-rounder. Ravindra Jadeja made a place as spin bowling all-rounder along with Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal as the main spinners.
