Harbhajan Singh drops a cryptic remark on MI vs CSK clash

The Indian Premier League 2025 kicks off on March 22, with the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders facing off against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Before the IPL starts, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh talked about the intense rivalry between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI). He said, CSK vs MI is like the India-Pakistan clash of the IPL; their fans are really passionate. Both teams have had some star players, and CSK is definitely one of the top teams. If you manage to beat them, your team makes headlines, and it’s the same for MI. It’s always a high-pressure game, full of excitement.

Harbhajan also gave a shoutout to Riyan Parag, who’s been appointed as the captain of Rajasthan Royals while Sanju Samson recovers. Every season, new players step up and make a mark. My eye is on Riyan Parag as the new captain; he has shown great talent. I want to see him grow into a player who can lead his team to victories. I’m also looking forward to seeing all the young spinners joining this edition, and I hope to see their mindset on the field, he mentioned.

Fans of MI and CSK have been eagerly awaiting MS Dhoni’s return in the yellow jersey. The last time these two teams met, CSK came out on top, winning by 20 runs. In that match, Rohit Sharma hit a century, while Matheesha Pathirana took four wickets and was named Player of the Game. MS Dhoni scored 20 runs off just four balls, which ended up being the exact winning margin for CSK.
