Indian 14-member squad landed in Perth for the upcoming T20 World Cup along with their supporting staff. However, star all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja was not chosen in the combination due to his knee surgery. But just before the mega event, the Indian team got another major blow in the form of star pacer Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah was ruled from the forthcoming T20 World Cup. Previously, he was declared fit in the series against Australia. But, after the series, his injury emerged again, and the National Cricket Academy medical staff suggested that he should rest from the upcoming mega event and stay away from the action.
Currently, Indian selectors haven’t announced the replacement of Jasprit Bumrah. Head Coach Rahul Dravid and Skipper Rohit Sharma indicated that they would select the pacer based on their performance on Aussie Soil.
Whereas the wife of the veteran pacer is working for International Cricket Council (ICC) and left for Australia on Friday. When she left for Aussie, she tweeted a photo with “Heading to what’s quickly becoming my favourite hemisphere.”
This tweet went viral in no time, and some of Bumrah’s mad fans started trolling Sanjana Ganesan.
Jasprit Bumrah had been out from the Indian squad since July 14 due to an injury while playing ODIs against England. Death bowling attacks have been a major concern for team India. Men in blue will play some practice matches just before the mega event. We will hope that Rohit & Co. find the best replacement for their star pacer.
