Greg Chappel drops a massive praise for Kuldeep Yadav, Compares him with the Great Shane Warne

Greg Chappell, a famous Australian cricketer, complimented Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav, calling him the best wrist-spinner since Shane Warne.

Kuldeep didn’t play in India’s first Test against England; the team chose Ravindra Jadeja as their only spin bowler. After the loss, there was talk about how Kuldeep should play to help the team’s bowling. Chappell said that including Kuldeep would give the Indian bowling attack some different options and then compared him to Warne.

Chappell wrote in his ESPNCricinfo column, The fielding in Headingley was disappointing, but it wasn’t the reason India lost the Test. India created its problems. The worst mistake was the no-ball that let Harry Brook continue in the second innings. I am more concerned about the lack of different styles in the bowling attack. Except for Jasprit Bumrah, India’s seamers are too much alike—all right-arm, medium-fast, and bowling at similar angles.

Wickets often fall when there’s a bowling change. It makes the batter adjust. Shubman Gill doesn’t have that option with the current bowlers. Without Bumrah, I’d like to see Arshdeep Singh, a left-armer, and Kuldeep Yadav, maybe the best wrist-spinner since Shane Warne, join the attack,

Chappell added, Even with Bumrah, the rest of the bowlers must be more controlled. I didn’t see two balls in a row land where they should. They were too full, short, or wide. Bowlers must work together, like batters. England only has to handle Bumrah, and they know the pressure will be off.
