Glenn Maxwell gets ruled out of ipl 2025 due to fractured finger

Punjab Kings won the toss and opted to field against Chennai Super Kings in the MA Chidambaram Stadium for match 49 of the IPL 2025. They included Harpreet Brar and Suryansh Shedge while Prabhsimran Singh and Glenn Maxwell missed out. CSK persisted with his unchanged side. After having their match with Kolkata Knight Riders written off due to rain, Punjab are hoping to win and stay in contention for the top four.

Punjab’s captain, Shreyas Iyer said, We will bowl first. We’ll stick to our process. The guys are in good spirits and ready for a great game. One of our players has a fractured finger, which is unfortunate, and we haven’t decided replacement yet.

CSK now faces the axe if they lose tonight. They sit at the bottom of the points table, having just won two out of their nine matches this season. CSK captain, MS Dhoni jokingly said I don’t know if I’m coming for the next match!. Home advantage has been there and we haven’t made the most of it this season. Same team sticking with us, but this year there’s been more chopping and changing. You switch one or two if your players are doing well, but that’s not the case for us. Plus, this is the first season after a new auction, so we’re figuring out which players fit best.
