George Bailey’s Bold Claim: T20 World Cup 2024 Spot Awaits RCB’s Latest Addition

The Australian all-rounder, Cameron Green, is all set to make a comeback in the Australian T-20 set-up.

The talented all-rounder is in contention for a spot in the upcoming T-20 World Cup.

Australian ex-captain and current Chief Selector George Bailey confirms that the RCB all-rounder is in the mix for a spot in the forthcoming World Cup.

The all-rounder has been part of the Australian setup across the format for quite a long time but has played only 8 out of 20 matches, scored 139 runs with the bat, and picked up five wickets with the ball.

Green missed the ongoing T-20 series, which is currently being played against the West Indies, after his impressive performances in the ODI and test series. With the next Twenty20 World Cup around the corner, Australia is set to finalize their 15-member squad anytime soon.

When asked about Green’s chances in the T20 World Cup, the Australian chief selector said that Green is in the mix as he is going into the upcoming IPL season.

Green was brought up by the Mumbai Indians for a whopping price of Rs. 17.50 crore and had a phenomenal IPL debut season, scoring more than 450 runs with an average of 50.22 and a strike rate of 160.28.

Green is now being traded to Royal Challengers Bangalore for the same amount ahead of the IPL auction for the upcoming season.
