Former Indian opener drops a massive praise for Abhishek Sharma ahead of the second T20I

Abhishek Sharma holds the title of top-ranked T20I batter throughout the world and demonstrated his exceptional skills during the first T20I match against New Zealand on Wednesday when he scored 84 runs off 35 balls. In recent months Abhishek has developed into India’s most powerful batter while also becoming their most dependable player. Krishnamachari Srikkanth, who used to play cricket for India and work as their chief selector, explained that Abhishek possesses superior abilities compared to all other players in the Indian batting order.

“Abhishek Sharma makes a huge difference. T20 matches require teams to establish their first playing positions for effective performance. He does not play across, he won’t hit sixes from standing still, but he has a good reach and uses his height well. His playing style shows that he uses smart strategies to win games. He does not attempt to hit sixes with every delivery he faces. Srikkanth explained on his YouTube channel that there exists a major distinction between him and all other Indian cricketers.

“The team will win whenever Abhishek achieves a score above 50. You need nothing more than this proof. India reaches the 200-run mark whenever he scores a 50,” he explained.

Abhishek displayed his ability to destroy opponents during Wednesday’s match when he established a foundation for India to reach their massive score total. At the moment he left the game, he had hit eight sixes and five boundaries, which brought India’s score to 149 in the 12th over.

The Indian team reached an impressive score of 238/7 in 20 overs because both Hardik Pandya and Rinku Singh produced explosive performances during their batting.

Srikkanth praised India’s T20I batting lineup because of its ability to provide multiple batting options.

The Indian team possesses an excellent batting lineup which allows them to win T20 matches through their ability to score runs. “All the top players and Hardik and Rinku can score runs,” he explained.

India achieved a decisive 48-run win against New Zealand which gave them a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
