Former Indian opener drops a massive statement regarding him and Arjun Tendulkar

Prithvi Shaw, the young cricket player, is having a tough time in his career. He’s been left out by the selectors for the Indian team and faced a big blow when he was also dropped from the Mumbai team for the Ranji Trophy 2024-25. Things didn’t get better for him at the IPL 2025 auction either, as no teams picked him up. There are a lot of rumors that his issues might come from an unhealthy lifestyle and lack of discipline.

In a recent interview with News24 Sports, Shaw was asked if he envisions himself and Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, playing for India together, with Shaw as the batter and Arjun as the bowler. Shaw replied, Absolutely. Why not?

Shaw used to play for the Delhi Capitals in the IPL but got released after the 2024 season. Arjun, meanwhile, joined the Mumbai Indians in 2022 and made his debut in 2023, but he didn’t get to play a game in the 2025 season after being picked up again. Shaw mentioned, Only when you play, you realize how talented and skilled he is, speaking on Arjun’s potential.

Shaw is focused on getting back to playing for India, especially aiming to participate in both the ODI and T20 World Cups. He said, One of my goals is to win the World Cup for India. The next World Cups will be in my mind, and I will prepare for them.

Shaw made his India debut in 2018 against West Indies, scoring 339 runs, including a century, in five Test matches. He also played six ODIs and one T20I, but his last match for India was in 2021.
