Former Indian cricketer drops a massive warning for Team India’s head Coach Gautam Gambhir, Check inside

Rather, the ex-Indian cricket team star Manoj Tiwary again wondered about India’s performance in ICC tournaments over the decade and said that they must believe in winning all the competitions. In a recent interview, he continued to say that deserving candidates sometimes do not get the opportunities and, although of course the BCCI is not to be blamed every time, the absence of a support system has resulted in India losing out on some major talents. He even went on to use Jalaj Saxena as an example who played well but was not included in the squad for the past few series.

“Why are we so happy after winning the ICC tournament after so long and acting like we won’t win in the near future? We should believe it and it can happen that we win all the ICC tournaments. Where all the facilities are provided, the players receive so much security, where is the performance and how did the performance come about?” By points he has observed and experienced, “say those things and I’m sure India would win a lot of these ICC tournaments,” Tiwary told Hindustan Times.

“Someone gets a push, and at times there are deserving candidates who don’t have any big voice or big hand to support them and thus get ignored. However, that does not mean I am saying BCCI, without any, is not doing anything. I commend them for the things they have done for Indian cricket. But we are failing to win every ICC tournament. Why we won’t be as successful as Australia as far as winning ICC tournaments are concerned?” he added.

Tiwary on Thursday said the current national team head coach Gautam Gambhir is “not the right choice” for the highest post and he is only advisable for mentoring IPL franchises, which are further endorsed by the side’s recent failures.

India lost an ODI series in Sri Lanka under the captaincy of Gambhir for the first time in 27 years, reaching a new low when they were whitewashed 0-3 by New Zealand at home, which was unprecedented in the history of the country cricket.

India recently lost the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the first time in a decade, something that, as his appointment as coach went, was noted by Tiwary, who had a dressing room run-in with Gambhir during their playing days in the IPL.
