Former cricketer Madan Lal feels good about India’s chances in the upcoming Test series, especially because of their strong bowling lineup. He mentioned, We’ll find out how it goes when the series starts on June 20, but I believe India can do well with the best bowling attack out there. A solid bowling unit is key to winning Test matches. India has had its struggles with staying consistent overseas, particularly in England, so everyone needs to step up.
Lal pointed out that depending on just one standout player won’t cut it. You can’t win a big series relying on a single player. Everyone needs to pitch in, he said. While he highlighted Jasprit Bumrah as a crucial part of the team, calling him the top bowler, he reminded that other players also need to make their mark.
Bumrah is a key player, but other bowlers will have to take wickets too, he stressed. Lal also mentioned that the batting side needs to bring their A-game. If our batsmen score runs, we’ve got a good chance to win, he added.
With the first match just around the corner, everyone will be watching how India manages both their bowlers and batsmen in the challenging English conditions. The five-match Test series runs from June 20 to August 4, with games at Headingley, Edgbaston, Lord’s, The Oval, and Old Trafford.
