The same thing happened in the Indian cricket team not so long ago. A rivalry happened in the Gentleman’s game, leading to dividing the camp and dressing room into two parts. At that time, Indian team management denied the presence of this kind of scene inside the Indian team and dismissed it. Later this damage was controlled and prepared by the senior management staff.
This rivalry has confirmed by former fielding coach R Sridhar in his “Coaching Beyond”, and he explained the details of the rivalry. Also, he added that it was handled before the situation wriggled out of control.
Former Indian fielding coach R. Sridhar in his book “Coaching Beyond”, revealed that after the 2019 world cup, there was very bad during our campaign. The Indian camp was divided into the part of Virat’s camp and Rohit’s camp.
“After the 2019 World Cup, there was a lot of bad press about what allegedly happened in the dressing room during our campaign and following our loss to New Zealand in the semifinal. We were informed that there was a Rohit camp and a Virat camp, that someone had unfollowed another on social media – stuff that could be unsettling if you allowed it to fester,” Sridhar wrote.
This double camp thing and rivalry between two legends of the Indian team was settled down by the head coach Ravi Shastri on the West Indies tour after the world cup, and he said to stop this “typical no-nonsense manner”.
