EX-Pak Skipper Makes Fun Of Kohli, Says – ‘Doesn’t Matter If Kohli Breaks Sachin’s Century Record, India Need ICC Title’

Virat Kohli finally clocked a century in ODIs nearly after 1214 days in the 3rd ODI against Bangladesh played in Chattogram. That was Kohli’s 44th ton in the ODI format. With this century, Kohli surpassed the former Australian captain in the terms of most international centuries. Now Kohli is only behind the God Of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar who has 100 centuries to his name.

However former Pakistan skipper Rashid Latif has a different opinion on Kohli’s centuries. While talking to his youtube channel Rashid Latif said that it does not matter if Kohli breaks Sachin’s records or not but India needs the ICC title. Latif pointed out the harsh reality of the fans and said that Indian Cricket Fans do not need centuries from Kohli rather they wish Team India to bring some ICC trophy.

The former Pak skipper said, “It is not the time to count the number of centuries. It doesn’t matter. They need to win a title. It has been years since India won a trophy. Whether Kohli scores 100 centuries or 200, it doesn’t matter, what matters to Indian cricket and the fans is a title. If you look financially, IPL and Indian cricket are far ahead, but now there is pressure from the fans and the media that they want a title. Kohli can score 100 centuries if he wants, but the demand has changed. The Asia Cup is gone, and so are the Champions Trophy, the 2019 World Cup, and the last two T20 World Cups. 100 centuries has its own place, but India and the Indian cricket board need to win a title.”

India won that match by a huge margin of 227 runs where Ishan Kishan tore apart the Bangladeshi bowlers with his unbelievable hitting. Kishan got 210 runs in just 131 balls with the help of 24 fours and 10 sixes. Apart from Kishan, Kohli got 113 runs in 91 balls with the help of 11 fours and two sixes.
