“Everything is free for you here….” Rizwan Was Over The Moon After Pakistan Defeated India In the 2021 T20 World Cup

Pakistani star wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan is one of the Green Army’s vital players across all the cricket formats. Rizwan and his skipper Babar Azam’s consistent performance in the shortest cricket format made them popular. He was one of the highest run scorers in the T20I format in a calendar year in 2021. His dominating performance in the shortest format continued this year also.

One of the popular wins of the Pakistani team against their arch-rival India in the T20I World Cup 2021 is always memorable for them. In the league round, the Indian team set the target of 151/7 in 20 overs, chased by the green army without losing any wickets. Both the opener made the greatest partnership ever for the first wicket and won the match.

In an interview, Rizwan stated that he thought it was only a match, but the way Pakistani fans treated him was astonishing. They don’t even take money from me for anything.

“When we won against India, that time, I thought it was only a match for me. It was because we won that game easily. But when I came to Pakistan, I realized how much it meant. Whenever I went to a shop, they won’t take money from me. They would say, ‘you go, you go. I won’t take money from you!'” Rizwan told.

Further, he said, the love we got in Pakistan after that was unbelievable.
“People would say, ‘everything is free for you here’. This is the love from all of Pakistan after that match,” Rizwan further added.
