The young Indian leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi has expressed his happiness at the return of pacer Jasprit Bumrah. He said that everyone was pleased to witness him back in action and bowling in his old rhythm after his comeback.
On his return to international cricket, Bumrah clinched the Player of the Match award with an impressive performance of 2/24. With this superb bowling, India managed to gain a 2-run win against Ireland in the first T20I. It was a rain interrupted match where India started the series with a fortunate win.
After winning the toss, Bumrah chose to bowl first. Although Bumrah gave away a boundary on the opening delivery, he removed Andy Balbirnie for 4 runs on the very next ball. Bumrah’s next victim was Lorcan Tucker (0) who tried to execute the ball in a stylish manner but ended up losing his wickets.
While talking about the performance of Jasprit Bumrah, Ravi Bishnoi said,”It was his first match in nearly 11 months. First ball he bowled was on the legs, but after that the five balls he bowled were so good to see. Everyone was waiting for this Bumrah and it was so good to see him back in his rhythm.”
In this match, Ireland set a target of 139 runs for seven wickets. While chasing the target when India was standing at 47/2 in 6.5 overs, rain halted the match and then India was declared as winner.

We were a bit unfortunate that the match was curtailed by the rain. Overall, we have played good cricket. We bowled really well and got good start from our openers as well. If not for those wickets, we lost in the last over, we might have been in a very good condition,” Bishnoi said.
