Sandeep Sharma said that he takes every game as a bonus. Sandeep Sharma went unsold in last year’s IPL auction, but luck favored him as he was picked as a replacement for Prasidh Krishna by the Rajasthan Royals.
Sandeep Sharma has been quite phenomenal since then. Playing his match against Mumbai Indians, Sandeep Sharma rattled through Mumbai’s batting line-up, picking up his maiden five-wicket haul in the IPL.
In his post-match presentation ceremony, Sandeep Sharma said, “I got fit the day before yesterday. So, the first game after fitness. Actually, the pitch was on the slower and lower side. My plan was to bowl the cutters, and it came off. If you are bowling at the end, you have to have a big heart.”
Sandeep also emphasized bowlers bowling with a big heart, especially with the kind of pitches that are being made in modern-day cricket.
Sandeep Sharma said, “In this IPL, bowlers are under the pump. You have to have a big heart and keep executing your variations. Two years ago, I went unsold and came as a replacement, so every game I am taking as a bonus.”
Sandeep Sharma picked up wickets from Ishan Kishan, Surya Kumar Yadav, Tilak Verma,Tim David, and Gerald Coetzee.
