Indian pacer Khaleel Ahmed is very delighted after his long India comeback. Khaleel has been picked in the reserves for Team India, which is set to travel to Carabian and the USA in the next month.

Khaleel Ahmed has been in fine form, as he picked up 14 wickets in 12 matches.

In his interaction with the DC podcast, Khaleel Ahmed said, “I had a gut feeling that something positive would occur based on how the previous several months had gone and how the IPL had begun. As the IPL contests went on, I felt more and more confident. I realized that I was bowling well and that my approach has always been to take the next step forward. I was overjoyed to finally hear the name; it’s a big step forward for me.”

Khaleel also shared light on his struggling days, speaking about the same Khaleel said, “2019 seems so long ago. The thought of playing for my country was something I missed every day in the back of my mind. I used to fantasize about what I would have done if I had been on the team every time I watched India play. Thus, each day felt like a struggle, and these internal dialogues were occurring.”

Despite the difficulties of being a fast bowler, Khaleel made a deliberate effort to participate in every domestic match following the most recent IPL. The DC pacer highlighted the value of mental toughness in his path, saying that as cricket has always been his life, he battled for it day and night.
