England’s Legendary Bowler James Anderson Bid Adieu to international cricket after English summer: reports

One of the best pacers to play the game of cricket James Anderson is all set to hang boots in international cricket after the English summer. James Anderson has already become the first pacer in the history of Test cricket to pick up 700 wickets. James Anderson will be eyeing a record tally of 708 before calling off his international career.

As per the reports, the head coach of England, Brendon McCullum, has conveyed to Anderson that they are looking at the future and keeping an eye on 2025–26.

England are set to host the West Indies and Sri Lanka this year at home, and one of the matches is to be played at the Old Trafford, which is the home ground of James Anderson, and that could be his final game in international cricket.

According to the claim, McCullum took a chartered plane from New Zealand to the UK to tell Anderson about his plans for the future while they were playing golf. After playing 194 ODIs, 19 T20Is, and 187 Tests for England over a glittering career that started in May 2003, Anderson is ranked third among all-time Test cricket wicket-takers with 700, behind only Warne (708) and Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka (800).
