England Announces T20I and ODI Squad For West Indies Series, Jos Buttler Remains The Captain

England announced their ODI and T20I squads for their upcoming multi-format series against the West Indies. It came just hours after their campaign at the ongoing ODI World Cup came to an end.

The tour will conclude with three One-Day Internationals against the Windies and five T20Is. The first ODI will be played on December 3, followed by the first T20I on December 12.

The team named their white-ball squads to face the West Indies, with numerous changes from the group that traveled to India for the ODI World Cup 2023. Only six players from the World Cup have been included in the ODI squad to face the West Indies, and Jos Buttler has been retained as captain in both formats.

Apart from Buttler, the ODI team includes Gus Atkinson, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Sam Curran, and Liam Livingstone, who were also present at the World Cup.

In addition, three players with no ODI experience have been named to the squad: Ollie Pope, John Turner, and Josh Tongue. When it comes to the T20I team, veteran all-rounder Moeen Ali has kept his spot. Dawid Malan, on the other hand, did not make the cut in any format.
