“Engineer of…”Ex-England Star Went All Praise For Ravichandran Ashwin Ahead Of His 100th Test.

One of the biggest match winners in modern-day cricket, Ravichandran Ashwin, is all set to play his 100th test match for Team India.

Ahead of his 100th match, Ravichandran Ashwin received a major compliment from ex-England spinner Monty Panesar, who hailed Ashiwn as “the engineer of spin bowling.”.

Ashwin will be playing the fifth test match of the series against England, which will be his 100th game for Team India in the test format. The legendary leg spinner has already picked up 500 wickets in the test format for India. In 99 test matches, Ashwin has picked up 507 wickets at an economy of 2.78.

Ashwin has many armors in his spin bowling, along with his carrom ball, which has foxed even the best batters in the world, including greats like Alister Cook and Hashim Amla.

Ashwin is currently ranked 9th in all-time leading wicket taker in test cricket and is the second most successful spinner after Kumble to pick up most test wickets for team India.

In his recent interaction with ANI, Panesar said, “Ashwin has been absolutely brilliant. The first time I came across him was during a test series in India (2012). Role-wise, he has been there, working out angles and engineering his way to dismissals. I think he is brilliant at how he changed the revolutions on the ball and enriched the art of spin bowling. It is all about angles, mathematics, and data. So, I think he is the engineer of spin bowling.”
