‘Eliminator Has Nothing To Do With Virat Kohli’, Matthew Hayden Huge Remarks On RCB Star After IPL Exit

Former Australian devastating opener Matthew Hayden has praised star Indian batter Virat Kohli and said that the RCB’s legend has nothing to do with the elimination of RCB in the eliminator.

At Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, Kohli scored 33 runs and then helped the team to send Dhruv Jurel inside the pavilion through a sensational throw from the boundary. In the match, RR best RCB by 4 wickets and made it to the second eliminator of IPL.

While speaking to the broadcasters, Hayden said that the RCB star had put his all efforts to clinch the win. Not only this, Kohli also became the first batter in IPL history to cross 8000-run mark.

“OK, look for on this loss has nothing to do with Kohli. You know, he’s put his absolute heart and soul on the line. And even when you think about his fielding effort tonight, that was a brilliant run out of Jurel. So, you know, for me, those numbers are ridiculous. 8000. That’s a lot of T20 runs,” said Hayden on Star Sports.

Hayden expressed his admiration for Kohli’s competitive spirit, noting that he is a player any team would desire because of his consistency.

“I also love that about Virat Kohli. Competitive spirit matters. Have a look at this off-balance, right on the money to Cameron Green and another superb piece of effort. I mean, that’s competition. You want someone like him who’s a franchise leader, and you want him in your team 100 percent. He just keeps churning out runs. He’s actually been better this season,” the former Australian opener added.
