Dropping Kishan and Shreyas from the central contract was…”Jay Shah drops a massive statement regarding the Contract Snub

The secretary of BCCI, Jay Shah, said that dropping both Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan from the Central contract was the decision taken by Chairman of Selectors Ajit Agarkar after the duo failed to participate in domestic cricket.

Speaking about the same, Jay Shah said, “Check out the constitution.” On Thursday, during a media interaction at the BCCI head office, I was just a convener of the selection meeting,” he stated. ” Ajit Agarkar is the one who made the decision to remove Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer from the central contract list, even though they were not involved in domestic cricket. “All I have to do is execute. Additionally, new players like Sanju (Samson) have been added to the team. No one is indispensable.”

Before the contract, Sunb Jay Shah made it crystal clear that each and every player who is not playing international cricket needs to play domestic cricket to get picked again for the Indian team. If they fail to do so, then the final decision will be taken by the selection committee.

Jay Shah shared his opinion of the high scoring fest in the IPL this year, saying that it’s all on the players who are playing well and can continue to perform for a longer period of time.

Speaking about the same, Jay Shah said, “Whoever does well in the IPL, such as Ishan Kishan, finds it difficult to play for the Indian squad, although he is a player for the Mumbai Indians. There, he is able to play with ease. You must demonstrate your worth to Team India by putting up consecutive strong performances.” A player who is capable of handling that could be considered the right player,” he continued. Shah also shared information on his chat with Kishan, which happened following the Mumbai Indians’ game against Gujarat. “No, I didn’t provide him any advice. I have polite conversations with all players, and that was all that was said. He should do well.
