“Don’t even want to…”Riyan Parag gives a massive statement regarding the T20 world Cup

The opening match of the month-long T20 World Cup 2024 is the USA vs. Canada matchup. The Indian cricket team, coached by Rohit Sharma, will not be able to start the tournament until a few more days from now as they are slated to play Ireland in their opening match on June 5. While Indian supporters are crossing their fingers for their team, all-rounder Riyan Parag of the Rajasthan Royals has hinted that he may not even want to watch the T20 World Cup this year.

Before the 15-man roster for the T20 World Cup was revealed, Parag’s name was mentioned among the probables. He had a good Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. He was not included in India’s T20 World Cup team, not even in the reserve ranks. In an interview, Parag stated quite frankly that if he had been playing, he would have been concerned about the T20 World Cup. He’s not that interested this year.

“To be very honest, I don’t really want to watch the World Cup, therefore my prediction on the top four teams will be prejudiced. All I have to do is wait and see who comes out on top, and I’ll be content. “I’ll consider finishing in the top four and everything when I play in the World Cup,” Parag stated in a conversation with The Bharat Army.

Parag is a fascinating figure who has frequently been the target of trolling after making comments in interviews and on social media. He let his bat do most of the talking in this year’s Indian Premier League, and the outcomes were spectacular. The Assam cricket player recently talked openly about his aspirations to play for Team India, stating that eventually the selectors would have to take him.

“You know you’ll have to take me at some point? I therefore think that I will represent India in this game. When is actually irrelevant to me,” Parag had stated in an interview with PTI.
