Did CSK Won The Match By “Cheating” Against RCB? Was The Third Umpire Also Involved In This? Check Full Report

During the match against Chennai Super Kings, Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered an eight-run defeat at home at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

In front of the huge target of 227 runs, the host managed to score 218 runs. About 400 and a half runs were scored in that match. Boundaries were raining from both team.

However, during this time, a video of Mahendra Singh Dhoni became quite viral on social media, about which fans are even alleging that Mahi cheated to win the match.

This incident happened in the 15th over during RCB’s batting. Dinesh Karthik played an important inning of 28 runs in 14 balls. During this, such an opportunity also came that Mahendra Singh Dhoni felt that there was an opportunity to stump. In this over of Ravindra Jadeja, Dhoni stumped on the fifth ball without delay. The matter reached the court of the third umpire.

During the investigation, it was found that Dinesh Karthik’s leg was inside the line. In such a situation, it cannot be given out. This is the occasion on which Virat’s fans made serious allegations against Dhoni. Actually, in the haste to stump out, some part of Dhoni’s gloves had come ahead of the wicket.

According to the ICC rule, if the wicketkeeper tries to stump out before the ball goes behind the wicket, it will be called a no-ball.

The third umpire only focused on the stump out. Karthik was inside, so he was declared not out. The umpire did not notice Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s gloves. If he had done so, it would have been declared a no-ball, and the RCB team would have got an extra run. In such a close match, this extra run and ball could be helpful for RCB.
