MS Dhoni Moved To High Court Against IPS Officer For 2014 Match Fixing Case Allegation

Former Indian Captain MS Dhoni moved to the high court of madras against IPS officer Sampath Kumar. This case is related to IPL 2014 match-fixing and spot-fixing.

This case was listed but not heard on Friday. Sampath Kumar, Inspector of Police, then made a statement involving Dhoni in match-fixing and spot-fixing of matches. He pleaded with the court to pay him 100 crores for damage.

An interim order was passed in 2014, and the court confined Sampath Kumar from making any statement against Dhoni. Despite it, Sampath Kumar illegally filed an affidavit against the judiciary and senior counsel representing the State in the cases against him.

After finding the alleged consent from advocate general R Shanmugasundaram on July 18 this year, Dhoni filed a contempt application on October 11th, 2022, to punish Sampath Kumar for his illegal action against the judiciary in violation of a court order passed in 2014.
