Asia Cup 2022 will commence from 27th August but before it a lot of drama is being seen from the Indian Cricket Management side. Deepak Chahar who injured himself during the 3-match odi series against Zimbabwe has been replaced by 25-year old Kuldeep Sen.
Kuldeep is a right-arm pacer who plays for Madhya Pradesh in domestic circuit and he also serves Rajasthan Royal in the Indian Premier League.
According to a report by Dainik Bhaskar, Kuldeep’s coach Aril Anthony informed that Deepak Chahar will miss the tournament due to an injury and for this Kuldeep has got his maiden India call-up.
The inclusion of Kuldeep Sen was also confirmed by his brother Jagdeep who said that the bowler received a call on August 22, from Chetan Sharma, the chief selector of BCCI. Not to forget before Chahar, Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel will also miss the tournament due to their respective injuries.
India will start the campaign against Pakistan on 28th August. The match will be played at Dubai International stadium and Bhuvaneshvar Kumar will be asked to lead the pace bowling attack along with Arshdeep Singh.
