Former Team India star Irfan Pathan feels that Mayank Yadav will not make a cut in Team India’s World Cup squad. The star pacer who plays for the Lucknow Super Giants in the ongoing IPL season has been a find in this year’s IPL. The pacer picked up six wickets in the two matches he played.
Mayank Yadav bowled consistently at 150 kmph, which has been the talk of the town. The Star Pacer, however, is currently out of action due to injury.
Irfan Pathan, who picked his team for the T-20 World Cup, however, a fan on X told Irfan that Mayank Yadav deserved to get placed in India’s World Cup squad.
In reply to this, Irfan Pathan wrote on X, “I would have loved to have him as an X factor, but the issue here is less exposure at the top level.”

Irfan Pathan also gave his review of the bowling of both Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan, saying that the duo brings something extra to their bowling and hoping that they will play matches for India.
Irfan Pathan wrote, “Fast bowlers I will keep in mind for sure. 1) Mayank Yadav 2) Mohsin Khan. Not necessarily take them to the World Cup, but they surely bring something extra to their bowling. Which can be an asset for Team India. But I would like them to play plenty of matches.”
