The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) committee, led by Directors Shyam Sharma and Harish Singla, recently visited India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore. Pant is rehabilitating at the NCA following a car accident last year that left him with multiple injuries.
Despite the setback, Pant has displayed remarkable determination and progress in his recovery, sharing updates with fans on social media.
Shyam Sharma, a member of the DDCA committee, revealed that Pant is recovering well and expressed hope for his swift return to the field. Pant’s commitment to rehabilitation and his ability to bounce back from adversity is evident in his social media posts, which showcase him working out in the gym, walking without support, and interacting with teammates in his characteristic cheerful manner.
“He is doing well in his recovery and is much better now. There is a big question about his comeback as it takes time, but I hope he will be back on the field as soon as possible,” Shyam told ANI.
Pant’s fans and followers have closely followed his recovery journey, eagerly awaiting his return to cricket. The DDCA committee expressed optimism that Pant will make a strong comeback and resume his cricketing career as soon as possible. While the exact timeline for his return remains uncertain, his progress and positive attitude provide hope for his supporters.
During the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Pant accompanied his team, the Delhi Capitals, to some matches. Despite being unable to participate due to his injuries, Pant supported his teammates from the stands. Unfortunately, the Delhi Capitals struggled in his absence and finished last in the competition.
