DCW vs MIW : Mumbai Indians Clinches 8-Wicket Victory Against DC, Saika Ishaque Shines

In the 7th match of the Women’s Premier League Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets. It was a low-scoring game at DR DY Patil Sports Academy from where Mumbai bowlers ripped through the batting lineup of Delhi Capitals and built a base for the victory.

In this match, Delhi Capitals’ captain Meg Lanning won the toss and elected to bat first. However, it did not go in the favor of Delhi, and they were bundled out on 105 runs in 18 overs. For Delhi capitals, Lanning got the maximum 43 runs and Jemimah Rodrigues was the second-best scorer for the team and got 25 runs.

For Mumbai Indians, Saika Ishaque, Wong, and Hayley Matthews managed to get 3-3 wickets each.

Chasing the target of 106 runs, they achieved it in 15 overs at the loss of two wickets. Wicket-keeper Yastika Bhatia scored the maximum 41 runs for the team. Hayley Matthews(32), Nat Sciver-Brunt(23), and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur(11) took the team home.

For Delhi Capitals, Alice Capsey and Tara Norris bagged 1-1 wickets each.

Saika Ishaque for her three wickets after spending just 13 runs in three overs received the player of the series award.
