Gujarat Titans won the second match of the season against Delhi Capitals by six wickets in the 7th match of IPL 2023 which took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday. In this match, Sai Sudharsan scored an impressive 62 runs without getting out. South African star David Miller and Vijay Shankar also played important roles in securing the victory for Gujarat.
Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan each took three wickets and helped Delhi Capitals to restrict them to 162/8 in 20 overs. The pitch had a lot of pace and bounce which made it challenging for the Delhi Capitals to score more runs.
During Gujarat’s innings, Sudharsan and Shankar put together a 53-run partnership for the fourth wicket after losing three wickets in the power-play. Vijay Shankar scored a crucial 29 runs and he went to the pavilion in the 14th over. From there on David Miller carried the chase with Sai Sudharsan and achieved the target of 163 runs in 18.1 overs.
Before it, captain David Warner(37), Axar Patel(36), and Sarfaraz Khan(30) helped Delhi Capitals to reach a respectable total of 162 runs at the loss of eight wickets.
