“CSK desperately missed Pathirana and…”Mitchell Mcclenaghan drops a huge statement after CSK’s loss against GT

Former New Zealand pace bowler Mitchell Mcclenaghan feels that the Chennai Super Kings badly miss the services of their wicket-taking duo of Mustafizur and Pathirana.

Mustafizur Rahman has flown back home for national duties, while Mathisha Pathirana was ruled out of the IPL due to injury. In the clash against GT, CSK desperately missed the duo as the opposition went on to score 231 in their 20 overs.

In his interaction with ESPNCRICINFO, Mitchell Mcclenaghan said, “CSK demonstrated how much they missed Mustafizur and Pathirana due to their expertise and capacity for getting wickets. You would have sensed that they would have found a way on a wicket like that.”

The Kiwi pacer further went on to say that Daryl Mitchell bowling a full quota of 4 overs is not at all good for Chennai. The all-rounder had a forgetful day with the ball as he gave away 52 runs in his 4 overs.

The Chennai Super Kings are currently placed at number 4 in the points table and will be locking horns with the Rajasthan Royals on May 12.
