CSK CEO Provided Big Update on Dhoni Availability For The First IPL Match Against Gujarat Giants

The 16th edition of IPL is going to start today. The first match will be between four-time champion Chennai Super Kings and defending champions Gujarat Titans. CSK’s troubles have increased before this match.

According to media reports, the team’s captain Mahendra Singh is injured, and there is doubt about his playing in the first match. According to media reports, Dhoni has injured his left knee.

However, team CEO Kashi Vishwanathan rubbished all these rumors and confirmed that MS Dhoni would play the opening encounter. Due to this, the fans must have got relief.

Kashi said, “As far as I know, Dhoni is playing 100 percent. I don’t have any other information. This thing has certainly put a smile on the face of CSK fans, but whether Dhoni will play or not, will be a matter to be seen.”

During the practice session, Dhoni felt pain in his left knee, so he did not participate in CSK’s training at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Thursday. The first match against Gujarat will be played at Ahmedabad’s world’s largest cricket stadium. Hardik Pandya is handling the command of Gujarat.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have signed South Africa pacer Sisanda Magala as a replacement for New Zealand bowler Kyle Jamieson and a left-arm pacer from Nagaland Akash Singh for the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.
