Recently, Indian star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has shown some brilliant performances with bat and ball. Whole cricket fraternity is praising Hardik for his all-around performances. In IPL 2022, he led Gujarat Titans for the first time and helped his franchise in lifting the maiden title. He also led the Indian National team in two T20I matches against Ireland. He is glowing as a star of the Indian team.
After seeing Hardik’s prolific performances, former IPL franchise teammate and West Indies veteran Kieron Pollard spoke about the Indian all-rounder and praised him. He told Hardik had a rough time over a year, and his comeback is overwhelming. He took a rest and focused on himself.
“Hardik is a work in progress. He was going through a rough time in the last couple of months. Again, we have seen the rewards of his hard work. I have known him for a couple of years and understand how he thinks and operates. It’s not surprising for me what he did in international cricket and for the Gujarat Titans,” said Pollard.
Pollard also said that a cricketers like him come once in generation. And advised Indian fans and experts to let him enjoy his game, not burden him with expectations.
“All I want is the best for him on the cricket field. Let’s enjoy him. We tend to put them on a pedestal, dragging them down when they don’t deliver. He’s a brilliant cricketer. Cricketers like him come once in so many years. So again, I wish him good luck,” further Pollard added.
India will play against their arch-rival Pakistan in opening encounter of mega event on October 23rd. However, India will face Australia and New Zealand in the warm-up matches ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup.
