Australian star all-rounder Aaron Hardie is scheduled to join the rest of the team as they prepare for their upcoming tour of India. Hardie will be filling in as a substitute player for Sean Abbott and Nathan Ellis who have both sustained minor injuries during the recent tour of South Africa.
The decision was taken when Australia lost the ODI series against South Africa by 3-2 and the major players of the Australia tour are going through injuries. It is not a good sign for the mighty Australians as they are going to participate in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in the upcoming weeks.
The experienced batter of Australia Travis Head has also fractured his hand and he is not part of the series against India. In place of him, the Australian cricket management has picked Matthew Short for the tour. Not only this, Sean Abott suffered a tear and the fast bowler Nathan Ellis is going through a groin injury.
Currently, Hardie is set to stay with the team for the upcoming three ODIs, which are slated to occur from September 22 to September 27 against India. This comes after his ODI debut in Bloemfontein on September 9.
