Sunrisers Hyderabad is still struggling to find the perfect playing XI after winning the IPL title in 2016 under the captaincy of David Warner. In the auction, their team management has tried their best to pick the best players.
SRH have been searching for the skipper and opener batter because they have released their skipper Kane Williamson; as the replacement, they have picked Mayank Agarwal at 8.25 Cr, who was released by Punjab Kings and will most probably lead the team in the upcoming edition. Still, the official announcement is yet to come.
The most expensive player for SRH this time is Harry Brook at 13.25 Cr, the English batter who has recently shown his masterclass performance on the sub-continent pitches, and it will be interesting to see his show in the IPL 2023. They have also shown their promise on South African wicketkeeper batter Heinrich Klassen and picked him at 5.25 Cr. They have also picked uncapped Vivrant Sharma at 2.60 Cr, who performed amazingly in domestic cricket. We can see him in the next edition of the IPL; however, they have also brought Adil Rashid and Akela Hosein at 2 Cr and 1 Cr, respectively.
Looking at starting XI of the Sunrisers Hyderabad, they can have the best playing XI unless their team management goes for any new experiment. In the opening, they have Mayank Agarwal and Abhishek Sharma, both the batter with enough IPL experience and impressive stats. At no. 3, we can see Rahul Tripathi for consistency and destruction per team requirements. At no. 4, 5, and 6, we can see Aiden Markram, Harry Brook, and Heinrich Klassen, respectively, but the batting order still depends on the top-order batter’s performance and the team management thinking.
For no. 7, they will probably go with Washington Sundar, but for no.8, they have to pick one between Adil Rashid and Akeal Hosein, and this will be decided as per the pitch and match conditions. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, and T. Natarajan will handle the pace bowling attack. So as per calculation, this side is well enough, but cricket matches are always played on the field, not on paper; that’s why we have to wait for the IPL 2023.
