Breaking the Silence: Shubman Gill Addresses “Disciplinary Issue” Rumours at T20 World Cup

Indian cricket player Shubman Gill shared a sweet photo on Instagram with team captain Rohit Sharma and his daughter Samaira, which made fans very excited. There were rumors that Gill had stopped following Rohit on Instagram, but this new post shows that they still have a friendly relationship. Gill, who is a backup player for India in the 2024 T20 World Cup, is expected to leave the team after the group matches and return home.

Gill shared a picture with Rohit and his daughter, writing a nice message with it.

“Sammy (Samaira) and I are learning about discipline from Rohit Sharma,” Gill wrote in his Instagram story’.

There were rumors on social media that Gill left the Indian team because of discipline problems. But a report from the Times of India said this wasn’t true. Now, Gill has cleared up any confusion fans might have had.

Even though Gill won the Orange Cap in IPL 2023, his slow beginning in IPL 2024 caused him to not be picked for India’s 15-man team for the 2024 T20 World Cup. By the end of IPL 2024, Gill had scored 426 runs in only 12 matches.

Team India secured a place in the Super 8 round of the current T20 World Cup. Led by Rohit Sharma, they will compete against Australia, Afghanistan, and either Bangladesh or the Netherlands in their Super 8 group.

After playing all their group matches in the USA, India will head back to the Caribbean to continue their participation in the T20 World Cup.

Virat Kohli is looking to improve his batting, as he has only scored five runs in three matches so far. Rohit Sharma, despite scoring a fifty in the first game against Ireland, has also struggled to maintain his form.

India will begin their Super 8 matches against Afghanistan on June 20.
