Breaking News: ‘There Have Been No….’ BCCI Board Official Comments on Ishan Kishan’s Central Contract Status

Team India’s young wicketkeeper, Ishan Kishan, has been out of the team’s setup for quite some time now. However, in spite of being out of action, he has been in the news for more than a month.

Ishan Kishan opted out of India’s tour of South Africa, asking for a break from international cricket from the team management. Citing mental fatigue, she has not played any cricket since then.

Moreover, team India’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, clearly said in a press conference that Ishan Kishan needs to play some cricket, be it the Ranji Trophy or any other tournament, to make himself eligible for selection and get back into India’s squad.

There have been a lot of speculations about Ishan Kishan’s future in Indian cricket.

However, a source close to BCCI revealed on being asked if Ishan Kishan would be terminated from the Central Contract of BCCI.

To which the source replied that there haven’t been any talks as such, with the T-20 world being around the corner and all set to be played in the USA and West Indies this year, the workload management of the core Indian players will be very important during the IPL, which is set to take place just before the mega showpiece event.

However, no Indian players have been given any guidelines related to workload management in the IPL, as the franchise pays huge sums to the Indian players for starring in the cash-rich league.

Nevertheless, it’s quite evident that the players who are part of the World Cup squad and whose team fails to make it into the top four in the IPL will be sent quite early to New York, with the rest of the players joining after the tournament gets over.
