India has revealed a team of 15 players for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, which will take place in the United Arab Emirates starting on October 3. Harmanpreet Kaur will remain the captain, and Smriti Mandhana, a top-order batter, has been chosen as her assistant.

India is in Group A with Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
Smriti Mandhana will be joined by powerful hitter Shafali Verma as the opening batswomen, with Dayalan Hemalatha also providing a strong batting option in the top order.
The middle order includes players like Jemimah Rodrigues, captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma, and Richa Ghosh, who is also the team’s main wicketkeeper.
Yastika Bhatia is an backup wicketkeeper, but her selection depends on her fitness. Similarly, young spinner Shreyanka Patil has been chosen for the World Cup team, but her inclusion is also based on her fitness.
