Breaking News: Suryakumar Yadav Set To Miss First Two Games Of IPL 2024 As Per Reports

Team India and Mumbai Indians star batter Surya Kumar Yadav is currently going through a rehabilitation process at the NCA. Suryakumar Yadav started his rehab after ankle surgery, but uncertainty looms over his participation in the first two matches for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL.

The Mumbai Indians will play their first game of the tournament against last year’s runner-up, the Gujrat Titans, on March 24. Suryakumar Yadav is currently working quite hard at NCA to regain his fitness.

However, a source close to BCCI revealed, Surya’s rehabilitation is on track, and he will certainly ‘Return to Play’ in the IPL itself. However, it is still not clear whether the NCA’s Sports Science and Medical Team will give clearance to play in the first two away games against the Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad.”

Surya is currently doing a lot of physical and strength training, as can be seen from the batter’s social media handle. The source further added, “There are still 12 days to go before MI play their first game, but it could be a race against time to get fit by the first match itself.”

Apart from Mumbai Indians, Surya plays a very important role in Team India’s T-20 set-up. In 60 matches for team India, Surya has scored 2141 runs, which includes four hundred.
