One of the biggest cash-rich leagues in the world, the IPL, is all set to take center stage in less than a month’s time. All 10 teams have started their preparation and are going to quest for the ultimate glory.
However, ahead of the upcoming IPL season, the Lucknow Super Giants have gotten into action mode as the Lucknow-based franchise has appointed Lance Klusener as the new assistant coach for the upcoming IPL season.
Klusener will be seen along with Justin Langer on Lucknow’s coaching staff. Klusener is also the head coach of the Durban Super Giants in SA 20.
Klusener was earlier seen in Dugout as the assistant coach of the Mumbai Indians, where he was assisting South African great Shaun Pollock.
Klusener has already made his name in the Caribbean Premier League, as under his coaching, the Guyana Amazon Warriors won their maiden CPL title.
The Proteas all-rounder has a huge amount of coaching experience under his belt, as he has been head coach of Afghanistan and batting coach of Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Earlier, the Lucknow Super Giants appointed Nicholas Pooran as their new vice captain for the upcoming IPL season, replacing Krunal Pandya.
The 17th season of the IPL will start on March 22, with the Chennai Super Kings facing Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opening encounter.
