Team India is set to play against India A in a three-day intra-squad practice match at the WACA Perth before the start of the five-match test series between India and Australia. The first match of the series between the two sides is set to be played on November 22.
The intra-squad match for the men’s team is set to be played when India’s women’s team will be locking horns against Australia in a three-match Odi series. Apart from that, Australia A is also scheduled to play against India A in two first-class matches on October 31.
The matches of the A series are scheduled to take place at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay and the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The three red ball matches will provide the players with a chance to adapt to the conditions before the side tussles in the five-match test series.
“It will be fantastic for our supporters for that to occur concurrently with the women’s ODIs and to be preceded by two important Australia A against India A matches.” According to cricket.com.au, CA Head of Cricket Operations and Scheduling Peter Roach
“Hosting those A matches at the upgraded Great Barrier Reef Arena and the MCG gives these ‘A’ matches significant status and will provide great opportunities to players from both sides to put up their hand for selection.”
On June 14, tickets for the three women’s ODIs between Australia and India and the Border-Gavaskar series will go on sale.
