Arya Desai plays domestic cricket for Gujarat. He has played only 3 first-class matches till now. Arya bats left-handed as well as off-spin bowling. He made his first-class debut this year against Madhya Pradesh. Desai has so far scored 151 runs in the first class. He has not played List-A and T20 cricket yet. BCCI has given information about this.

“He joined KKR for Rs 20 lakh,” BCCI said in its press release. Desai played three Ranji Trophy matches for Gujarat in the 2022-23 season and scored a half-century against Vidarbha. Desai is yet to make his debut in the limited-overs format. Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) included another youngster after Suyash Sharma.

KKR had a disappointing start to the season when they suffered a seven-run (Duckworth-Lewis) defeat in their opener against the Punjab Kings. After this, KKR made a tremendous comeback.
