Breaking News: Gambhir’s Era begins in Indian cricket following Dravid’s departure

According to a post on social media Jay Shah, BCCI secretary Gautam Gambhir is the new Indian cricket team head coach. He takes over from the former cricketer Rahul Dravid following his acclamation in T20 World Cup 2024. Mr @GautamGambhir is the new Head Coach of the Indian Cricket Team, I am delighted to welcome him.”

Gautam has seen and closely followed this dynamism of development of cricket in the modern times, and he is thus the best placed person in steering Indian cricket into brighter future owing to his vast experiences encompassing enduring the hard times as well as shining in many roles that he played throughout his career path.

Jay Shah wrote this quote on his official account on X: “I am confident that Gautam is the ideal candidate to lead Indian Cricket. He is in a good place to take on such a popular and challenging coaching gig because he has a clear vision for #TeamIndia and remarkable experience. The Indian board supports his beginning on this new Journey.”

Earlier Jay Shah had also written a message for team India’s previous head Coach Rahul Dravid who ended his Coaching tenure with team India after a phenomenal T 20 World Cup victory.

Team India became the first team to become Champions without losing a single game in the history of the T 20 World Cup as they had beaten South Africa in the finals by 7 runs.
