Breaking News: BCCI Sacked This Legendary Indian Coach

The performance of the Indian team in the T20 World Cup wasn’t up to the mark and after the humiliating loss in the semi-final encounter against England by 10 wickets, they had again failed to win the ICC trophy since the 2013 champions trophy.

After the humiliating performance in two consecutive T20 World Cups, BCCI took a bold move and sacked the BCCI interim selection committee led by Chetan Sharma and also rested the whole coaching staff from the New-Zealand tour and choose acting staff led by VVS Laxman. Currently, Hardik Pandya is the new skipper of the T20 format and he may lead the men in blue in this shortest format of cricket.

BCCI haven’t stopped there, now they are ending the next term of the mental conditioning coach Paddy Upton. Now, he will not go with the team blue on the Bangladesh tour. As per the report, his contract ended after the T20 World Cup and now BCCI will not renew his contract. 53 years old South African, Paddy Upton was appointed as the mental conditioning coach on the tour to the West Indies this year on the request of head coach Rahul Dravid.

Earlier, When the Indian team won the ODI World Cup in 2011 at that time Paddy Upton worked with the Indian team in 2008-11 under the head coach Garry Kirsten as mental conditioning and strategy coach. Also, the Indian team achieved the No.1 spot in the test format under his coaching.

Recently, in the T20 World Cup, 2022 Indian Legend Sunil Gavaskar was very upset about the role of Paddy Upton.
