Rajasthan Royals left-arm pacer Trent Boult was at his absolute best in the game against the Mumbai Indians on April 1. Playing for the first time away from home, Trent Boult rattled Mumbai’s batting line-up, picking up three wickets inside the powerplay.
Trent Boult picked up wickets from Rohit Sharma,Naman Dhir, and Dewald Brevis; all three of them registered golden ducks.
The New Zealand seamer also has his name on most powerplay wickets in the IPL. So far, Trent Boult has picked up 55 wickets and is only behind Bhuvneshwar Kumar (61) and Deepak Chahar (56).
Speaking about Trent Boult, Australian all-rounder Shane Watson went all praise for the New Zealand seamer, saying that Trent Boult is the best bowler with the new ball.
In his recent interaction with Jio Cima Trent Boult said, “Trent Boult is just so accurate. He rarely misses his execution with the brand new ball in the first over. He hits the ground, sprinting, so accurate.”
Watson further stated that “Ball swinging back in is just an absolute weapon, and he continues to do it over and over again. It appears that he is simply getting older. He is so energetic, and he is always on the money from ball one. What an asset to have for the Rajasthan Royals.”
