Big Update Regarding Shami Came Out Before IPL, Due To Which Team India and Gujarat Titans Got A Big Setback

Team India’s Sultan of Sea bowling Mohammad Shami provided a huge update regarding his fitness and injury. The fast bowler shared the news of undergoing a successful operation on his archilies tendon.

Shami took his X account and wrote I just had a successful heel operation on my Achilles tendon! Recovery is going to take some time, but I look forward to getting back on my feet. #AchillesRecovery #HeelSurgery #RoadToRecovery,”

Mohammad Shami has been out of action for quite some time now. The pace bowler has so far missed the series against Australia,South Africa, and Afghanistan.

Mohammad Shami is also currently not playing the ongoing five-match test series against England due to injury. The pacer was last seen in action for India in the World Cup, and since then, he has not played any games so far.

Shami played seven matches in the World Cup, picking up 24 wickets, becoming the highest wicket-taker for India in World Cup history. 

As per the latest buzz, Shami has also been ruled out of the upcoming IPL season. He played a major role in two consecutive successful seasons for the Gujarat Titans in the IPL.

Shami picked up 20 wickets in the IPL 2022 season and 28 wickets in the 2023 season, becoming one of the lethal weapons of the Gujarat Titans.

So far, there has not been any official update regarding Shami’s return to the cricket field. It will be interesting to see whether Shami plays in the upcoming T-20 World Cup in June or not.
