SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) all-rounder Abhishek Sharma is embroiled in a controversy as he was recently called in by local police following the suicide of Tania Singh, a well-known model from Surat.
As per a Gujarat Tak report, Tania who was 28 was involved in the domains of fashion designing and modeling. With over 10,000 followers on Instagram, her bio on the platform mentioned her roles as a disc jockey, makeup artist, and model.
After her suicide, an investigation was initiated by the police in Surat. During the inquiry, the name of SRH player Abhishek Sharma surfaced as he had been in contact with Tania Singh for a period of time.
While Tania and Abhishek had not been in recent contact, the police summoned the all-rounder for questioning due to his previous association with her as a friend.

According to Gujarat Tak, the model returned home late last night and tragically took her own life. Her family was devastated upon discovering her lifeless body.
Abhishek Sharma participated in the Ranji Trophy 2023-24 season for the Punjab squad, which unfortunately got eliminated in the group stage. The all-rounder featured in four matches, scoring 199 runs at a below-average of 28.42. Additionally, he contributed with his left-arm spin, securing three wickets.
