A piece of news is coming out from the South African dressing room according to which the budding South African all-rounder Dwayne Pretorius has been ruled out from the upcoming ICC men’s T20 World Cup.
The news broke out during the toss for the 1st ODI between India and South Africa in Lucknow where it was known that his left thumb got fractured during the 3rd and the final T20I vs India.
For the 1st ODI against India, Marco Jansen has been added as a replacement for the India series, with no decision yet on the T20 World Cup.
After the omission of star middle-order batsman Rassie Van Der Dussen, the absence of Pretorius will make another negative impact on the playing XI of South Africa.
South Africa is in the same group as India, along with Pakistan and Bangladesh. The team in the world cup will be led by Temba Bavuma and some star players like Miller, De Cock, and Rabada will take responsibility for their team in the marquee event in Australia.
