Pakistan Cricket Team has got a huge blow in the ongoing Asia Cup tournament. The team has a match to play against Sri Lanka which will decide their fate in the Asia Cup tournament. However, before it, the star bowler of the team Naseem Shah has been officially ruled out from the tournament due to injury in his right shoulder.
Naseem Shah injured his right-shoulder in the match against India. He also did not come to bat when Pakistan came to chase the target of India. The medical panel of the team is continuing to observe him closely and is implementing all essential measures with the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 in mind.
The right-arm fast bowler Zaman Khan has been called up to replace Naseem Shah in Pakistan’s 17-player squad for the current Men’s ODI Asia Cup 2023. Zaman has joined the team today in the morning and is scheduled to practice with the squad.
Haris Rauf also did not bowl on the reserve day of Pakistan vs India as it was prescribed by the doctor.
Team doctor of Pakistan Cricket Board Sohail Saleem said, “These two fast bowlers are our assets and the team’s medical panel will provide them the best possible care ahead of the all-important World Cup.”
