Big Blow For LSG, Indian All-rounder Ruled Out Of IPL 2024

In the 15th match of the IPL 2024, Lucknow Super Giants defeated RCB by 28 runs, but according to the latest news coming out from their dressing room, the star pacer of LSG, Shivam Mavi has been ruled out of IPL 2024.

The franchise announced this news in a video shared on social media, featuring Mavi bidding farewell to his team. Mavi was acquired by LSG for a good amount of INR 6.4 crore in last year’s auction but did not get the opportunity to play a single match for the team.

Mavi has been dealing with injuries since August last year and has not played any competitive matches since then. He was also selected for India’s Asian Games squad but had to withdraw from the tournament due to a back injury. Despite these setbacks, he was drafted by LSG during the auction and was eager to contribute to the team whenever he got the chance. However, an unfortunate injury has now sidelined him for the entire season.

“I came here after an injury and thought I would play matches with my team and do well for my team. But unfortunately, I will have to go because I have an injury. A cricketer has to be mentally strong for this. If you have an injury, how do you come back and what do you have to take care of? We have a very good team here. My message to the fans is to keep supporting the Lucknow team,” Mavi said.

However, the LSG team has yet to announce a replacement for the team.
